Who we are
DS Storm Basketball Academy is a youth basketball program based in Dripping Springs, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at dsstormbasketball.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information you give us
The only information this website asks you for directly is what you type into our contact form: your first name, your email address, your phone number and your message. We use it to reply to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for advertising.
Registration and payments
Registration for our camps, clinics and team programs is handled by LeagueApps, not on this website. When you click through to register, you leave dsstormbasketball.com and any details you enter, including payment information, are collected and stored by LeagueApps under their own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the site you arrived from. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them. This tells us about visitors as a group, not about you personally.
Our contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile processes limited technical information from your browser to make that check.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Ours are used to keep the site working properly and to collect the anonymous analytics described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some parts may behave differently.
Children’s privacy
We work with young athletes, and we take that seriously. This website is written for parents and guardians, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through it. Registrations and any information about a young athlete should be submitted by a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the program and this website, such as our registration platform, our website host and our email provider, and only so they can do that work. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and to keep a record of our correspondence, then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below and we will respond.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is hosted on managed infrastructure with its own security monitoring. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
