FAQ
What ages does DS Storm Basketball Academy work with?
Our programs are built for youth players who are ready to train with purpose, from those learning the fundamentals through to athletes preparing for middle school and high school basketball. If you are unsure which program fits your child, contact us and we will point you to the right one.
Where are sessions held?
We train in the Dripping Springs area. Specific locations are listed with each program when registration opens, so you always know exactly where to be before you sign up.
Do I need to try out to join?
It depends on the program. Skills Training, Camps and Clinics are open to any player who registers. Team Programs involve an evaluation, because placing athletes on the right team is what makes the season work for everyone.
My child has never played organized basketball. Is that a problem?
Not at all. A lot of our players arrive having only played at school or in the driveway. Sessions are grouped so athletes work with players at a similar stage, and our coaches teach the fundamentals from the ground up.
What should my child bring?
Basketball shoes with good grip, athletic clothing, a full water bottle, and a basketball if they have one. We provide everything else.
How much do programs cost?
Pricing varies by program length and format. Every program lists its fee on its registration page before you commit, with no additional equipment or facility charges.
How do I register?
Registration runs through our LeagueApps portal. Head to the Register page, pick your program, and complete the form. You will get a confirmation by email with dates, times, and the location.
What is your approach to coaching?
We coach skills, character, and opportunity in that order. Athletes get purposeful repetition and honest feedback in an environment that expects effort and rewards it. The aim is players who are more confident, more coachable, and better teammates than when they arrived.
